We are…

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10

Our Mission

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Our Commitment

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Romans 12:1

Our Characteristics

  • We love God above all.

  • We love our community, Freer, Texas.

  • We love others unconditionally. We are adults and as Christian adults we are capable of loving others deeply while still refusing to condone the sin in our lives.

  • Loving others means telling the truth about sin and grace.

  • We gladly embrace the name and heritage that comes with being BAPTIST.

  • We seek to obey the Word of God and be in His will.

  • We do not bend to culture, we seek to bend to God’s will and share His unchanging message of hope.

  • We are a small local ministry that has a global missional impact.

  • We take “being His church” seriously.

  • We have different roles, but every role is equally important.

  • As followers of Christ, we are here to serve not to be pampered, so saddle up.

  • We want our men to be men and women to be women.

  • We believe that our faithfulness to and love for Christ must show up in the time we give to His service and in the integrity in our financial giving of tithes and offerings.

  • We believe our most urgent mission field is not defined by geography, it is defined by generation. We are committed to sharing the truths of Christ with the children and young adults who come behind us.

  • Music is a wonderful tool that can be meaningful when used in worship, on mission or for education. However, worship is about the condition of the heart and our personal relationship with Christ not the performance of the band or the mood created by music.
