First Baptist Church is blessed to be THE SENDING CHURCH for our sister Ashlinn Guidry. She came to know Christ at 5 years old during Mission Friends here at FBC. Ash grew in her commitment during her time in the youth ministry and eventually became a missionary to the Bara people in Madagascar. In 2024, she returned to the African continent - again with the African Inland Mission- but this time to serve in Tanzania. Ashlinn remains a valued member of our church family, and though she is across the ocean, we are determined to be her faithful partners in the work of the Lord being reliable to support, visit and pray. Our theme in 2024 is to EQUIP, SEND, GO and this formula is being lived out in our partnership with Ashlinn.

Starting in May 2024, we will be posting updates on Ashlinn and prayer requests in the services and on this page of our website. Please consider supporting her financially as well as through dedicated and specific prayer.

The interview located below was done as she was preparing for Madagascar. We have left the interview up - thought out dated- because of the amazing testimony and heart for God that is evident in just hearing her speak. Enjoy!
